TOO MANY PROJECTS in such a small area.
LA City Council has approved several high rise 5-8 story buildings to be built in the west end of Devonshire and Topanga Canyon Blvd. One site is dangerously close to a gasoline vent, just one ciggerette and BOOM! This same site is only 100 feet from Chatsworth Park Elementary School.
With a gasoline vent right next door and an Elementary school across the street, how can the LA City Council have approved this???

LA City Counsel has approved a 63 unit Homeless Building for unregulated addicted single adults to be built less than 60 second walk to one of Chatsworth's elementary schools, Chatsworth Park Elementary at 22005 Devonshire Street Chatsworth Ca 91311. There is a gas station that will be sharing a common wall with this Homeless project. Should a careless or mindless individual toss a cigarette butt onto the ground, disaster could happen. This gas station has a gasoline vent right next to this building site. How can we let LA City Council set our children up for explosive danger? If a lit cigarette butt is tossed onto the gas station sidewalk or property, and should this gas station ignite or blow up, our children of Chatsworth Park Elementary are literally right next door to experience the jolting blast and devastation. THIS MUST BE STOPPED. Please call our Mayor, Assemblyman, Governor, and Senator and let them know that Chatsworth Park Elementary is dear to our community and will will not allow our children to be set in harms way.

As citizens of Chatsworth CA we must stand together by calling, writing, emailing those in political office and get them to reassign this building to another location.
Chatsworth Park Elementary is a GOLD RIBBON School! Meaning that Chatsworth Park Elementary part of a California program that honors outstanding academic excellence in their progress of closing achievement gaps among students. We cannot allow undocumented sex offenders and pedophiles live right next door to meet and greet our grade school children while these striving youngsters are working hard at scholastic achievements. What a damaging distraction to these young minds to have to listen to the verbal rants and raves of the severely mentally ill while on their way to or from school.
It's gonna take more than just 1 call from 1 person. We must all call our Mayor, Assemblyman, Governor and Senator and let them know THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.
LA City Council has no limit of how many homeless they will send to Chatsworth. There must be some sort of regulation on this. Otherwise we can look forward to beautiful Chatsworth glowing with Skid Row rejects.
THERE NEEDS TO BE A LIMIT
The Travel Lodge at 21603 Devonshire Blvd is already a Homeless Housing Solution for the City of LA. Now they are building several more within steps from each other. The population density of homeless will soon out number the good people of Chatsworth if we remain silent and allow this to happen. We must act now and demonstrate to LA City Council that we will not permit Chatsworth to become Los Angeles's NEW SKID NOW.

We must write letters and let our voices be heard so that LA City Council does their due diligence and finds alternative suitable locations to build super tall 5-8 story homeless housing buildings -NOT in Chatsworth. Our community cannot remain silent and watch LA City Council distroy Chatsworth.
Chatsworth will never be the same if LA City Council builds handfuls of tall homeless buildings and floods our streets with multitudes of severe mentally ill addicts.
We cannot permit this to happen!
